I wanted to try taking advantage of the long reach of the colosseum and library to put them across the bridge, just because that seemed like a fun idea. My initial idea was to have the south side more covered with Patricians on the side that gets those big buildings and temples, but the population requirement made that seem impossible, so there's a district of more Equites and Plebs with Patricians on either side instead.
With all gifts to Rome, this is a win on normal in 6 years and 0 months with no donations to the city, a new personal record for me. The last time I tried a build like this it was 6 years 8 months, because I had to wait for security to get all the way up. This time I built walls early around just the top part, getting security to 75 in like 200 AD.
This could have been a bit less than 6 years if I had started giving the Equites luxuries earlier, but I wanted to see if the Festival at Mercury's temple had a huge impact on sales income from all luxuries and exotics going out for the first time at once. It didn't seem like the impact was worth it compared to the trade on Nicomedia -- not sure if it's ever worth it.
